Honda Generator Spare Parts

Honda generators provide clean, smooth and reliable power for recreation, construction, emergency & rescue, rental, and home use. They are the #1 generators in the US because of their reliability and compact size that make them easy to transport and store.

We stock a wide range of honda generator spare parts to keep your generator running. These include air filters, spark plugs, oil, and other maintenance items. We also have a selection of Honda generator covers to help protect your investment. Our most popular generator accessory is the wireless remote start kit which allows you to control your generator from a distance using an app on your smartphone or tablet.

If your generator hasn’t been used for a long time, the fuel can degrade and cause engine issues. It is important to add a fuel stabilizer before storage or prolonged inactivity. We also recommend draining and changing the engine oil after each use or every 50 hours. This can be done by closing the fuel vent and removing the dipstick. It is important to keep the engine cool during this process. After the dipstick is removed, remove the drain plug and let the oil flow out into a container. Then screw the dipstick back in and add the recommended amount of oil.

If you have a spark plug issue, you may need to replace it or the spark arrester gasket. To access the spark arrester, remove the muffler cover on the rear of the generator. The spark arrester is sandwiched between the muffler and the engine exhaust port. It is held on with three 6 mm bolts. Once the muffler is removed, you can pull the spark arrester out and scrub off carbon deposits with a wire brush.

Ensuring proper ignition, spark plugs are vital for the smooth operation of your Honda generator. Regularly inspect and replace spark plugs to maintain peak performance and fuel efficiency.

Maintaining Engine Health: Air Filters
Clean air filters are essential for preventing debris and contaminants from entering the engine. Replace air filters according to manufacturer recommendations to safeguard your generator’s engine against damage.

Fuel System Efficiency: Carburetors
Carburetors regulate the fuel-air mixture, optimizing engine performance. Clean and adjust carburetors periodically to prevent fuel-related issues and ensure consistent power output.

Power Regulation: Voltage Regulators
Voltage regulators stabilize the output voltage, protecting sensitive electronics from power surges. Inspect and replace faulty voltage regulators to prevent damage to connected devices.

Lubricating Moving Parts: Engine Oil
Engine oil lubricates internal components, reducing friction and heat buildup. Monitor oil levels regularly and change oil at recommended intervals to prevent engine wear and maintain efficiency.

Cooling System Maintenance: Cooling Fans
Cooling fans prevent overheating by dissipating excess heat from the engine. Ensure cooling fans are free from obstructions and operate smoothly to prevent engine damage.
